Two Sherrill residents face drug charges

(WKTV) - Two City of Sherrill residents face drug charges after a three-month investigation into heroin distribution, the Oneida County Sheriff's Office said.

Kenneth J. Smith Jr. is charged with one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree and two counts of criminally using drug paraphernalia in the second degree.

Ashley M. Kivler is charged with one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree.

According to officials, a search warrant was executed by the Oneida County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit/Criminal Investigation Unit and the City of Sherrill Police Department at an apartment in the 100 block of Sherrill Road. During the search warrant, authorities say a large amount of heroin with a street value of about $1,500 and cash were found.
