Two Utica women accused of stealing almost $15,000 with stolen checks

(WKTV) - Two Utica woman face charges after they allegedly cashed almost $15,000 in stolen checks, New Hartford police said.

Gina M. True, 25, of the 1500 block of St. Vincent Street and Amber C. Meyers, 24, of the 1000 block of Erie Street, are charged with grand larceny.

According to officials, the two allegedly cashed two stolen checks, stealing more than $14,000 from First Niagara Bank in the Village of New Hartford.

The two were arraigned in Village of New Hartford Court and released pending the assignment of counsel.
