Two arrested after complaint in Oneonta

By WKTV News

(WKTV) - Two men face charges after a trespassing complaint on Chestnut Street in Oneonta, New York State Police said.

James R. Canfield, 21, of Mount Vision, is charged with criminal mischief in the third degree and criminal trespass in the second degree. Daniel T. Pizzurro, 24, of Oneonta, is charged with making a false written statement.

According to authorities, a complaint was received Saturday on Chestnut Street. An investigation determined Canfield forced his way into a home and entered without permission. The person who reported the crime, Pizzurro, was the resident. Officials say he was not completely truthful when speaking to troopers and that he willingly signed a false statement.

Both were issued tickets returnable to the Town of Oneonta Court.
