Two arrested as part of prostitution sting at Conkling Park

(WKTV) - Two men were arrested Tuesday as part of a sting targeting prostitution and public lewdness in the area of Roscoe Conkling Park, Utica police said.

Christopher Austin, 39, of Rutger Street, is charged with loitering for the purposes of prostitution and prostitution.

James Cook, 62, of Military Road in Remsen, is charged with public lewdness and exposure of a person.

Police conducted the sting after receiving numerous complaints about the area. During the operation, an undercover officer posed as a john.
