Two arrested on drug charges in City of Oneida

(WKTV) - A search warrant led to the arrest of two people in the City of Oneida on drug charges, the City of Oneida Police Department said.

David J. West Sr., 41, of the 100 block of South Warner Street, is charged with criminal possession of marijuana in the second degree and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fourth degree.

David J. West Jr., 19, of the 100 block of South Warner Street, is charged with criminal possession of marijuana in the second degree, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree and criminally using drug paraphernalia in the second degree.

Caitlyn G. Catello, 21, of Sconondoa Street was issued an appearance ticket on a charge of unlawful possession of marijuana.

According to officials, a search warrant was served on Friday after an investigation into the possession and illegal drugs in the City of Oneida. During the search, police found 760 grams of marijuana, including marijuana that was packaged individually, 43 grams of concentrated cannabis hash, a digital scale, cell phones, several bongs and pipes and more than $2,000 in cash.

West Sr. and West Jr. were sent to the Madison County Jail. West Sr.'s bail was set at $20,000 cash bail or $40,000 bond. West Jr.'s bail was set at $7,500 cash bail or $15,000 bond.
