Two charged after Troopers respond to burglary in progress call

MARCY, N.Y. (WKTV) - Two men have been charged after State Police say they were found in the middle of an alleged burglary attempt in Marcy.

According to New York State Police, Troopers responded Thursday to a 911 call of a burglary in progress on Columbus Drive in the Town of Marcy. Inside the unoccupied residence, authorities found Artem Kozakevich, 22, of Marcy and Taylor Linebeck, 18, of Marcy.

Kozakevich has been charged with second-degree criminal trespass for unlawfully entering a residence, first-degree unlawfully dealing with a child for providing alcohol to a person less than 21 years of age, and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Linebeck was charged with second-degree criminal trespass and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Both were issued appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Marcy Court on June 26.
