Authorities identify two men killed in Rome motorcycle accident

(WKTV) - Two men were found dead at the scene of a motorcycle accident in Rome on Monday morning, New York State Police said.

Paul T. Gentile, 53, and Franklin G. Salcedo, 29, both of Rome, were pronounced dead at the scene.

According to authorities, police responded to the scene in the 7000 block of West Thomas Street, near Gifford Road on the outer district of the City of Rome.

Officials said the two were on a 1988 Kawasaki motorcycle that exited the road and hit a mailbox and a signpost, ejecting the two.

The investigation is continuing.
