Two men treated for gunshot wounds

(WKTV) - Two men with gunshot wounds were driven to St. Elizabeth's Medical Center on Thursday afternoon, Utica police said.

The victims were identified as Gregory Brown, 29, and Raheem Jackson, 21, both of Utica. Neither injuries appear to be life-threatening.

One was shot in the hand, the other was shot in the thigh. Police, who were called to the hospital at 1:45 p.m., said the two were uncooperative.

According to police, the two were passengers in a car stopped at the intersection of Elizabeth and Albany streets. A black vehicle with three black men inside pulled alongside the victims' car. According to a witness, the men exited their vehicle and shot at the victims inside their car.

The Utica Police Department's Criminal Investigation Division is investigating. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call 315-223-3510.
