UPD investigating case of severe animal cruelty

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Utica Police Department announced that they are investigating a case of animal cruelty, Thursday.

The investigation began when found a dog, newly-named, Autumn, on Whitesboro Street in Utica with a shoelace tied around her neck, and could immediately tell that she was starving and running stray.

Autumn is currently being housed at the Steven-Swan Humane Society, who is asking anyone with information about the dog's owners to call them immediately.

Lainey's Army is offering a $500 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction to those responsible for the dog's condition.
