Upstate Cerebral Palsy artists display their work

By WKTV News

(WKTV) - The Small Works Student Gallery at Mohawk Valley Community College is hosting art from Upstate Cerebral Palsy.

On Tuesday, visitors can see the art and meet the artist. The exhibit is free. There are clay and silk creations and much more, and the art provides a sense of accomplishment for the artists.

"They make all the choices every step of the paintings, and out of that comes their own sense of self expression and a sense of achievement," said Susan Macrina, recreation specialist. "Some of them have sold paintings and they are very excited about that, because that's a really big success for them."

The works will continue to be displayed until July 25.
