Utica College-MVCC sign agreement to ease transition

By WKTV News

(WKTV) - Two colleges in the City of Utica are making it easier for students to further their education while staying in the area.

The presidents of Mohawk Valley Community College and Utica College signed an agreement today that will mean a seamless transition for transferring students. As of Tuesday, students who have an associate in science from MVCC with a grade point average of 2.5 or higher are automatically accepted into the Utica College health studies major.

Hundreds of students make the transition from MVCC to UC yearly. The presidents of the two schools say the latest partnership make the two colleges like a small university.
