UPDATE: Utica Police arrest stabbing suspect

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Utica Police have arrested the suspect in the Friday morning stabbing that has a Utica teen in the hospital fighting for his life.

Officals say Henry Gomez, 33, of Blandina Street was arrested on Friday evening and charged with:

Assault 1st- B felony
Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd- D felony
Criminal Possession of Stolen Property- E felony

At approximately 3:00 a.m. on Friday, Utica Police officers responded to a 911 call at Blandina Street, in regards to a report of a stabbing.

According to Police, Gomez got into an argument with his girlfriend's 17-year-old son, and stabbed him in the throat with an unknown sharp instrument.

The victim is in critical condition after sustaining a serious injury to his throat.
