Utica Rescue Mission opening its doors to anyone in need during storm

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - In addition to emergency shelters, the Utica Rescue Mission is opening up its doors to anyone who needs to get out of the elements.

Executive Director Reverend Bill Dodge says there is enough space at the Mission for up to 12 extra people.

The shelter will have warm food, clothes, and beds available to anyone who needs it.

"We want them to know this is a very welcoming place," Reverend Dodge said. "There is no need to be afraid, embarrassed, or any way ashamed. In fact, it's more important that people guard their personal safety and those close to them by finding what they need."

If you do need shelter, Dodge says to simply stop into their location at 205 Rutger Street in the City of Utica.
