Utica Woman arrested for grand larceny, forgery in New Hartford

NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. (WKTV) - New Hartford Police arrested a Utica woman after a two-month investigation into fraudulent credit card purchases.

According to Patrolman Andrew Allen, a criminal complaint was filed in early August 2013 after the victim noticed several unauthorized purchases made at Macy’s in the Sangertown Square Mall. The purchases were made utilizing a credit card belonging to the victim.

Subsequent to investigation, a suspect was developed and on Wednesday October 30, Police arrested Kimberly A. Salle, 52 of Utica.

It was determined that Salle and the victim were familiar with each other.

She was charged with 1 count of Grand Larceny in the Fourth degree and 6 counts of Forgery in the Second degree, all felonies.

Salle was arraigned in the Town of New Hartford Court and released on her own recognizance. Salle is scheduled to reappear in Court at a later date.
