UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Utica Zoo continued to celebrate its 100 years with "Wine in the Wilderness" event, Saturday night.
There was food, wine, wine tastings and exhibits at the event.
This year, the wine was featured from different regions around the state such as the Finger lakes, Lake Ontario and Catskill Regions.
Saranac Brewery also provided local brew and sodas for the event, which benefits the Zoo's operation.
The great thing about the Utica Zoo is every penny stays right here to help the state benefiting the animals, expand zoo, and have a nicer visitor experience," said Executive Director, Andria Heath. "We're 100 this year and we want to make sure we stay around for another 100 years."
The event took place at the Zoo's new pavilion, one of the many positive changes the Zoo has made with money they have raised.
