Utica Zoo gets exciting new exhibit

By WKTV News

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Utica Zoo has opened a new exhibit that will simulate a stroll on an African Plain.
Princess, a Vulture, is part of the New Vulture Exhibit on "African Alley" at the Zoo.
Her wing span reaches six feet, and she shares the habitat with other African-native animals such as two porcupines.
"They can look at eye view of our African Vulture. They can look at the ground dweller of our African Crescent Porcupine," said Andria Heath, Executive Director of the Utica Zoo. "There's an actual watering hole in the exhibit so they can actually see what would happen when all of the animals gather together."

The Vulture Exhibit was created after a generous $200,000 donation from Dr. Kevin Murphy and his daughter, Sara.
