Utica Zoo welcomes African Crested Porcupine and Serval exhibits

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Utica Zoo is now home to a few new creatures.

Home Depot employees and zoo staff members unveiled the new African Crested Porcupine and Serval exhibits on Tuesday.

In order to make the creatures feel comfortable in Utica, Home Depot donated materials and store employees volunteered their time to build homes for the animals.

"They are new to us, so we needed to build something from scratch and this is a great location, because it looks over the city, so really, our visitors from far away, get a great view of the zoo and our beautiful valley," said Andria Delisle-Heath, Executive Director of the Utica Zoo.

Staff members at the zoo say they will be unveiling more new exhibits in the upcoming weeks.
