Utica couple accused of picking up package of marijuana at post office

(WKTV) - A Utica couple faces charges after they allegedly picked up a package at a Canastota post office that contained more than seven pounds of marijuana, the Madison County Sheriff's Office said.

Roxanne M. Youker, 34, and her husband, Richard N. Brown, 40, both of Utica, are charged with conspiracy and criminal possession of marijuana.

According to authorities, the two picked up the package from the Canastota post office on Thursday afternoon. The marijuana has a street value of $22,500. The arrest was part of a joint investigation between the Madison County Narcotics Unit, the U.S. Postal Inspector's Office and the New York State Police CNET.

The two were sent to Madison County Jail on $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond.
