Tim Klotz fails to comply with city's request to board up Bleecker Street property

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Utica property owner Timothy Klotz is back in the news again, after a building he was told to board up caught fire over the weekend.

In 2009, Klotz faced issues with city codes concerning his property on 102 James Street in Utica, where four of his tenants died in a fire.

Utica Fire officials said Monday that Klotz failed to comply with a request to board up 956 Bleecker Street after it caught fire on Aug. 9. This is the second time this property has caught fire.

The second fire broke out Sunday at around 5 a.m. The investigation into the fire is continuing.
