Utica man accused of May 3 stabbing

(WKTV) - A Utica man was arrested in connection with a May 3 stabbing, Utica police said.

Edward Swalgin, 42, of Lincoln Avenue, is charged with assault in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon.

According to authorities, Swalgin was arrested Wednesday in an assault on May 3 on Hart Street.

The victim told police that he got into an argument with an acquaintance, and when he turned his back, he was stabbed in the lower back. The victim asked the man to leave, and he did.
