Utica man accused of burglarizing home

(WKTV) - A Utica man faces charges after he was allegedly found in a home taking laptops, Utica police said.

Raymond Torres, 48, of Elm Street, is charged with felony burglary in the second degree and felony grand larceny in the fourth degree.

According to officials, around 1:15 a.m. Wednesday, officers responded to the 1600 block of Elm Street. A man had called 911 and said when he came home, he found a man inside holding several laptops and a cell phone. When the suspect was confronted, he fled on foot. The victim followed the man and relayed the location to dispatchers.
