Utica man accused of handcuffing woman, touching her

(WKTV) - A Utica man faces charges after he allegedly handcuffed a woman to a Dumpster and forcibly touched her, Utica police said.

Anthony Sabatino, 24, of Brinkerhoff Avenue is charged with forcible touching and unlawful imprisonment. Sabatino is a registered sex offender.

According to officials, around 12:30 a.m. Monday, a man and woman who were acquainted were walking in the 900 block of Lincoln Avenue. At some point, the man allegedly dragged the woman by the arm to a Dumpster, where he handcuffed both hands to the trash bin. He is accused of forcibly touching her before she was able to convince him to let her go. The woman then fled and called police. Sabatino was located by officers and taken into custody.

He is in the Oneida County Jail.
