Utica man accused of stabbing brother

(WKTV) - A Utica man is accused of stabbing his brother with scissors, Utica police say.

Stephen Golmolka, 43, of Ballantyne Brae, is charged with assault in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon.

According to authorities, around 7:45 a.m. Thursday, officers responded to St. Luke's hospital for a report of a stabbing. Officers spoke with a man who said he was at his home on Ballantyne Brae when he began arguing with his brother. The argument turned physical, and the man said he felt a sharp pain in his chest. He was found to have a small stab wound to his chest and a punctured lung. At the scene, officers found a pair of scissors, which are believed to have been used by the suspect.
