Utica man accused of stealing refrigeration unit from St. Luke's Home

(WKTV) - A Utica man is accused of stealing a refrigeration unit from the St. Luke's Home, New Hartford Police said.

Michael DiFondi, 53, of Utica, is charged with felony grand larceny in the third degree in connection with the Dec. 9 theft.

According to officials, a two-week investigation with the assistance of Facebook and other media outlets led police to DiFondi, who is suspected of stealing the unit from St. Luke's Home's rear-loading dock area to sell for scrap metal.

DiFondi was arraigned in the Town of New Hartford and released pending a future court date.
