Utica man accused of threatening, punching two women

(WKTV) - A Utica man faces charges after he allegedly threatened to kill a woman and punched another, Utica police say.

Edward Hargrove, 42, of Armory Drive is charged with felony menacing in the first degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree and a violation harassment charge.

According to officials, around 2:45 a.m. Thursday, officers responded to Armory Drive on a report of a domestic incident. A woman says she was home when her boyfriend arrived. The woman said the man was drunk and began yelling at her. During the argument, Hargrove allegedly brandished a knife and threatened to kill her. The woman's pregnant daughter tried to intervene, and Hargrove is accused of punching and kicking her.

Hargrove was taken into custody when officers arrived.
