Utica man accused of violating Sex Offender Registration Act

(WKTV) - A Utica man was arrested Thursday and charged with a violation of the Sex Offender Registration Act,  Oneida County Sheriff's Chief Deputy Dean Obernesser of the Child Advocacy Center said.

Duane Raiser, 43, is charged with a Class E felony and accused of violating a part of the Sex Offender Registration Act that requires notification of Internet accounts and Internet identifiers. He was arrested by the Oneida County Sheriff's Office and New York State Police.

According to Obernesser, the Child Advocacy Center received a cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in Alexander, Va.

Raiser was booked at the Utica Police Department and issued an appearance ticket.
