Utica man charged with DWI after accident on thruway

SULLIVAN, N.Y. (WKTV) - A Utica man has been charged with DWI following a motor vehicle accident on the New York State Thruway near the Town of Sullivan.
According to New York State Police, a witness said James T. Harrison, 25, of Utica, was driving at a high rate of speed when he cut off another car, and swerved across both lanes of traffic before leaving the roadway and coming to rest in the median.
Authorities said Harrison was found to have a Blood Alcohol Content of .16%. He was charged with driving while intoxicated, released and ordered to appear in the Town of Sullivan Court on December 6 at 4:30 p.m.
