Utica man charged with felony burglary

(WKTV) - A Utica man faces a felony burglary charge in connection with an incident on Sept. 26, police say.

Derrick Evans, 25, of Utica, is charged with burglary in the second degree, a Class C felony, and a misdemeanor charge of petit larceny.

According to the Utica Police Department, a burglary report was taken at a home on Riverside Drive on Sept. 26. Officials learned the victim returned home to find his home had been broken into and money was taken. After an investigation, police developed a suspect.

Thursday, the suspect was located and he was charged.
