Utica man faces drug charge after search

(WKTV) - A Utica man faces a drug charge after he was allegedly found with heroin, New York State Police said.

Arif Mureskic, 26, of Clinton Place, is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree. Mureskic was arrested Monday by the New York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team.

According to officials, search warrants were executed at Mureskic's home and car. Authorities say heroin, cash and packaging material were found. He is currently on New York State Parole.

Mureskic was sent to Oneida County Jail. New York State Parole and New York State Police assisted in the arrest.
