UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - A Utica man was indicted Wednesday afternoon on a murder charge in relation to a May shooting in the city.

An Oneida County grand jury indicted Marshall Jackson on murder, criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of stolen property charges.

He's accused of shooting 24-year-old Anthony Garner to death on James Street back in May.

Utica Police who were nearby heard the gunshots and ran into the suspect, whom they say was carrying a loaded handgun.

Jackson will be arraigned in Oneida County Court in the next few weeks.
