Utica police find blood spattered inside Monro Muffler

UTICA, N.Y.(WKTV) - Utica police got quite a scare Friday morning when they responded to a burglary in progress at the Monro Muffler on North Genesee Street.
They arrived around 7:30 to find a broken window in the bay area and a trail of blood that looked like it led to a back room. and heard some type of movement inside the building.
One of the officers opened a door to enter the business and was confronted by a deer, which then lept over the officer and fled outside.
Efforts to locate the deer to render aid were unsuccessful.
