(WKTV) - Utica police are investigating four shots-fired incidents that have occurred since Wednesday evening, authorities said.

Around 7:16 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to a call of shots fired on Winner Avenue. Witnesses said they heard gunshots, then saw a black man running and holding a handgun before leaving in a brown SUV.

Police then received a call from a resident of the 900 block of Churchill Avenue, who woke up after hearing a loud pop. The resident noticed a bullet hole in his living room window, with something lodged in the ceiling. Authorities believe it is a stray bullet from the shots on Winner Avenue.

Around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to the 1600 block of Genesee Street on a shots-fired called. Police found numerous spent bullet casings from two different caliber firearms in the road on Avery Place, just west of Genesee Street.

About 9 a.m. on Thursday, there was a report of shots fired on Grant Street, and around noon Thursday, there was a report of shots fired on Erie Street, police said.

Anyone with information about the incidents are asked to call the Utica Police Department at 223-3461. All calls will be kept confidential.
