Utica police looking for driver who hit a pedestrian

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Utica police are looking for the public's help in locating the driver who hit a pedestrian and left the scene of that accident late Friday night.

Investigators say the collision happened at the intersection of South Street and Young Place around 11:00 Friday night.

Police say the pedestrian is going to be ok, but did suffer some non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect's vehicle is described as black in color, possibly a 'Honda' with some noticeable work done on it so that it was modified for street racing.

The driver is described as an asian male in his early 20's.

The investigation into the accident is ongoing. Anyone with information on this is asked to call the Utica Police Department at 223-3461. All phone calls will be kept confidential.
