Utica woman faces charges after domestic dispute

(WKTV) - A Utica woman faces an assault charge after police say she cut a man's face with broken glass.

Deanna Payne, 41, of Court Street, is charged with felony assault in the second degree.

According to Utica police, around 9:30 p.m. Monday, officers responded to a report of a domestic dispute in the 1100 block of Court Street. Upon arrival, officers found a man with a facial laceration. The man said he and his girlfriend argued and it turned into a physical altercation. During the fight, the man says the woman threw a glass ashtray against the wall and broke it. She then allegedly took a piece of the broken glass and cut the victim in the face with it.
