Val Bialas works to get lift running again


UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - The owner of Val Bialas, Mark Ford, is working hard to get the chair lift back up and running.

The lift broke on Sunday. No one was injured but ten people were stranded and had to be rescued.

Ford says he believes the problem lies within the lifts hydraulic system. He has called a company from New Jersey to come fix it. He hopes to have the lift working in three or four days. SnoFari one of the biggest events of the year at Val Bialas is this weekend. Ford doesn't want anything to slow down business.

Ford said business this year is double compared to last year.
