YORKVILLE, N.Y. (WKTV) - Four people were treated for non-life threatening injuries after a van collided with a police car, causing it to crash into a house. According to Yorkville Police, the police car was on routine patrol and heading north on Champlin Ave in response to an emergency call shortly before 2 pm on Thursday afternoon. Police say that's when a van pulled out of a side street and into the path of the police car, causing the collision. The collision caused the police car to go off the road and crash into a house. All four passengers (two in each vehicle) sustained non-life threatening injuries. The house sustained a large amount of damage and both vehicles were totaled.
