Vatican announces pope's retirement

VATICAN CITY (AP) - The Vatican says that Pope Benedict XVI will resign on Feb. 28. Today's announcement was a surprise.
Pope Benedict says he doesn't have the strength to continue as Pope.
He's the first pope in more than 600 years to resign.
