BOONVILLE, N.Y. (WKTV) - Vietnam Veterans gathered in Boonville Saturday for the 22nd annual "Vietnam Vets Get Together."

The event began in 1990 with just a handful of veterans, it has now grown to bring out over 500 people from all over the state to enjoy food, drinks and talk about times in war.

The get together welcomes veterans from not just Vietnam, but all wars.

"It originally started for Vietnam but with the current wars that are going on and the veterans that are in harms way we feel that we need to include them and hopefully someday this will transition over to their era," says Vietnam Veteran Kenneth Bundy.

The annual "Vietnam Vets Get Together" is funded through donations and event t-shirt and raffle ticket sales.
