Walk held to benefit Senior Nutrition Program

ROME, N.Y. (WKTV) - Saturday morning's chilly temperatures made for a brisk walk and run at the 16th annual "Miles For Meals" Jingle Bell Fun Run and Walk took off from the Rome Family YMCA.

The purpose of the event is to raise money and awareness for the senior nutrition program.

The event is put on by the Oneida County Office for the Aging which serves about 1,500 people each day.

About 50 people took part in the event, raising a total of about $2,000.
