BOONVILLE, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Oneida County Sheriff Office arrested a wanted fugitive on Route 12 in the Town of Boonville after pulling him over for speeding.

Authorities say that a deputy pulled over 26-year-old Wilson Canela for speeding. The man is also known as Wilson Valerio.

Canela gave deputies conflicting addresses in the Lowville area and New Jersey. A subsequent check of motor vehicle records in New Jersey revealed Canela was wanted on multiple charges with a nationwide extradition back to New Jersey.
