(WKTV) - A Warnerville man was injured in a motorcycle accident Friday in the Town of Cherry Valley, the Otsego County Sheriff's Office said.

According to officials, Jason D. Wilber, 38, of Warnerville was riding a 2013 Kawasaki motorcycle down State Route 166 around 3 p.m. Friday. Wilber slowed down to turn right on County Route 33 when a 2009 GMC delivery van driven by Todd J. Gould, 28, of Morris rear-ended the motorcycle. Wilber was ejected off the bike and came to rest on the State Route 166 embankment.

State Route 166 was closed for about two hours while officials investigated the accident.

Wilber was transported to Albany Medical Center. Gould was issued tickets for unsafe tires and following too closely.
