U.S. luge relay team falls short in medal quest

(WKTV) - Erin Hamlin's leg of the luge relay race was one of the best, but the U.S. team fell short in a quest for a medal on Thursday.

Hamlin's leg of the luge clocked in at 54.338, making her the second-best of the women in the competition. However, the U.S. luge team placed sixth in the competition, with a total time of 2:47.555.

Germany took the gold in the relay, with Russia taking the silver and Latvia winning the bronze.
