MINDEN, N.Y. (WKTV) - Rescue crews had to conduct several water rescues Friday morning in the towns of Minden and St. Johnsville as waters rushed up over banks and into the towns.

We talked to the Safety Officer for the St. Johnsville Fire Department who was out all morning in Mindenville, then set out to St. Johnsville in the afternoon where he said a Dollar General store, and several residences were under water.

Terry Potoczny said the flood is like nothing he's ever seen before, surpassing even the aftermath of the flood of 2006.

Potoczny said he saw entire trees among the debris flowing in the water.
