Waterville man accused of stealing guns from New Hartford home

(WKTV) - A Waterville man faces charges after he allegedly stole long guns from a home in the Town of New Hartford, New Hartford police said.

Chase Cahoon, 27, of Waterville, is charged with two counts of burglary in the second degree and two counts of grand larceny in the fourth degree.

According to authorities, police responded to a complaint on Christopher Circle that several long guns had been stolen. Upon further investigation, authorities learned a relative of the home owner had allegedly entered the home and stole the guns before selling them at a local sporting goods store.

Cahoon was sent to the Oneida County Jail in lieu of $3,500 bail. All of the stolen guns were located by the New Hartford police.
