Watery mess at former Rite Aid building in Utica

By WKTV News

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Fire crews were on the scene of a watery mess Wednesday morning at 167 Genesee Street. We're told several pipes burst inside the building.

According to fire crews, the sprinkler system was activated and water was flooding the streets.

Officials with the Mohawk Valley Water Authority say the fire service.

The Rite Aid building has been unoccupied since 2008.

It's just two doors down from the Harza building where a private pipe burst last week in subzero temperatures and caused the sidewalk to buckle.
