Wednesday lecture to focus on Utica's growth

(WKTV) - A lecture Wednesday will focus on Utica's growth and trends.

"Too Many Eggs for One Basket: The 'Creative Class' and Utica's Future" will be presented at 7:30 p.m. at The Other Side, 2011 Genesee St. The speaker will be Alexander Thomas, director of the Utica Center for Small City and Rural Studies.

Thomas will discuss current trends and opportunities for Utica. Thomas will argue that to build a brighter future, cities such as Utica need to take a holistic approach that includes recent immigrants, linkages to other cities and regions and the suburbs.

The lecture is free and open to the public.
