Wine tasting gone wild at the Utica Zoo

By WKTV News

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Utica Zoo is the place to be this weekend, as Wine in the Wilderness has come to town.
It is an annual even, which highlights 12 different wineries from around New York State, and contains different foods from Utica vendors as well.
The event is a fun way for people to become exposed to different New York wines, but also serves as a fundraiser for participants to give back to the Zoo.
"It's a major fund raiser for us," said Andria Heath, Executive Director of the Zoo. "We hope to aim to net around $36,000, which really can go a long way towards helping to feed adult lions, California Sea Lions who weigh 700 pounds and everything else that we do."

The event is for adults 21 years of age and over, and it goes from 6-9 p.m.
