UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Just days after the remains of Frank Amerosa were recovered at the site of a fatal plane crash in Ephratah, he and his wife were laid to rest.

According to their obituary, Frank and Evelyn Amerosa were interred at a private ceremony on Saturday at Calvary Mausoleum.

Final committal services were offered by Rev. Joseph Salerno with military honors presented by the United States Marine Corps.

The Amerosa couple died when the small plane they were riding in crashed into a reservoir in Fulton County at the end of May.

Evelyn's remains were found the same day the plane crashed along with the pilot's remains, but it took nearly two weeks before they could find Frank's remains.

Frank was suffering from brain cancer and was traveling from a hospital appointment in Boston, headed for Rome.
