Woman faces 13 charges for finding, using credit card

NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. (WKTV) - After a month-long investigation, New Hartford Police arrested a Utica woman who they say found a credit card in a hospital parking lot and proceeded to use it over and over again.

Police say Michelle Trimm, 48, used the credit card in New Hartford, Yorkville, New York Mills, and in the City of Utica.

The victim believed that someone may have found her credit card when she lost it while visiting a person at Hamilton Hospital.

New Hartford Police interviewed Trimm and subsequently arrested her for 4 Counts of Forgery in the second degree, a Class D Felony, 4 Counts of Identity Theft in the first degree, a Class D Felony, 4 Counts of Petit Larceny, a Class A Misdemeanor, and 1 Count of Possession of Stolen Property in the fourth degree, a Class E Felony.

She was arraigned in the Town of New Hartford Court and remanded to the Oneida County Correctional Facility, with no bail.

She is due back on court at a later date.
