Woman inside Middleville fire released from hospital, identified


MIDDLEVILLE, NY (WKTV) - The woman who was hospitalized following a Middleville fire has been released.

Jessica Durand was sent to the hospital after her apartment building went up in flames early in the the morning on August 1st.

State Police are still investigating the blaze, and believe it may have been intentionally set.

Firefighters and State Police first responded and removed the gas-soaked carpeting. Two hours later crews were called back for a working structure fire at the building with four apartments in it.

Officials believe the fire on the second floor.

A baby boy, less than a year old, was pulled from the first floor. The baby's mother was pulled from the second floor. And three adults were pulled from the third floor.
